Organizational Resilience series

In 2023, as part of its ongoing efforts to prioritize and highlight practice-based knowledge emerging from the work of civil society organizations (CSOs), the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UN Trust Fund) commissioned a series of papers on organizational resilience to: 

  • unpack the concept of organizational resilience based on the practical, operational and programmatic experience of CSOs working on ending violence against women and girls (EVAW/G);
  • analyse the key characteristics defining an organization’s ability to be resilient, by context and region, which should be documented and shared with the EVAW/G community to guide decision-making; and
  • understand the UN Trust Fund’s role in enabling organizational resilience of CSOs, particularly small grassroot organizations, especially in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic and other intersecting crises.
