Partners

The UN Trust Fund receives voluntary contributions from many partners, including governments, the private sector, UN Women National Committees, non-profit organizations, and concerned individuals from around the world. We are grateful for these contributions and the unwavering support of our partners that makes the important and highly effective work of the UN Trust Fund’s grantees possible.

Although the list of UN Trust Fund donors has grown and diversified over the years, work to prevent and end violence against women still remains seriously underfunded. Consequently, the UN Trust Fund’s drive to secure adequate funding highlights the need for resources to sustain the remarkable results that grantees have on the lives of women and girls.

Government contributors
Over the last 28 years, the UN Trust Fund has relied on voluntary contributions and support primarily from UN Member States, which provide approximately 94 per cent of overall resources. Current government contributors: Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Norway, Republic of Cyprus, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America.
UN Women National Committees
In 2023, support was received from the UN Women National Committees of Australia, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden and the United States of America.
Private sector
The UN Trust Fund has created several partnerships with the private sector to raise funds and awareness. Many of these partnerships also provide sustainable and ethical economic opportunities for women to promote economic empowerment and end the cycle of violence.
