Final Evaluation: “Comprehensive Intervention to Guarantee Access to Justice for Women Victims of Gender-Based Violence” (Ecuador)
The project “Comprehensive Intervention to Guarantee Access to Justice for Women Victims of Gender-Based Violence”, implemented by ACDemocracia, was funded from February 2016 to February 2018 by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation found that strategic partnerships – in this case with national and local authorities – were crucial to the project’s successes, which included improved access to justice for survivors of violence and a new law.
Final Evaluation: Contributing to the Construction of a System of Justice that Adequately Processes, Sanctions and Provides Reparations for Sexual Violence (Peru)
From January 2013 to December 2015, DEMUS led a project to further the rights of women who have experienced gender-based violence in six Peruvian judicial districts, specifically by improving the women’s access to justice. The final evaluation found that the institutional changes achieved were significant, but stressed the importance of implementing monitoring and evaluation measures to sustain the changes.
