In Mexico, the Instituto para las Mujeres en la Migración, A.C. (IMUMI) implemented the project “Contribution to the international protection of migrant women survivors of gender-based violence in Mexico” from 2019 to 2022 with the support of the UN Trust Fund. The project aimed to build a support strategy for migrant women and girls who had survived gender-based violence so they have greater access to international protection in Mexico. The final evaluation found that despite structural and operational challenges, the project’s activities were achieved and its objectives were covered effectively.

Between January 2015 and December 2016, the Mongolian Women’s Fund (MONES) implemented the “Securing State Investment to Prevent Gender-Based Violence in Schools” project, funded by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation found that the project changed boys’ and girls’ knowledge and perception of gender-based violence and helped them to acquire confidence in their right to enjoy a safe school environment.

The project An Holistic Model to Prevent Gender-Based Violence in Indigenous Populations with an Intercultural Approach was implemented by the UN Country Team in Mexico from May 2010 to May 2013 and received a three-year grant from the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation found the project to be relevant within its context and responded to the need for an effective public policy response to a complex problem.
