Al Shehab Institution for Comprehensive Development implemented the three-year project “Community-based intervention to alleviate the different forms of violence against women and women's vulnerability to HIV ‘Scale-up phase’” in Egypt’s capital Cairo between 2019 and 2022 with the support of the UN Trust Fund. This twice-funded project aimed to address women’s vulnerability to violence and HIV. The final evaluation found that the project’s objectives were covered effectively and its activities were achieved.

The final evaluation found that the project raised women’s understanding of personal and structural violence, and improved their interaction with support services.

Between December 2013 and November 2015, the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women funded the Indonesian Positive Women’s Network’s initiative “One Stop Service: Integrated Services for Violence against Women Survivors and Women Living with HIV”. The goal was to increase women’s awareness of their rights and improve the health of women and girls in Jakarta and North Sumatra who are living with HIV/AIDS and experience gender-based violence. The final evaluation found the project was successful and particularly relevant.
