The National Union of Women with Disabilities of Uganda implemented a three-year project, “Reducing Violence Against Women and Girls with Disabilities in Amuria District of Uganda”, with the support of the UN Trust Fund. The project aimed to decrease physical, sexual, psychological and emotional violence against women and girls with disabilities (WGWD) in the three sub-counties in Amuria district by 2021. The final evaluation found that the project fully met its objectives and was instrumental in addressing the practical and most pressing needs of WGWD.

The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women provided funds for the Autonomous Women’s Center’s project “No Tolerance for Gender Based-Violence” between January 2016 and December 2018. The initiative disseminated information, changed individual attitudes, raised awareness about gender-based violence, and facilitated advocacy activities. The final evaluation found that the Center increased youth understanding of gender-based violence and contributed to changing boys’ attitudes about it.

The project Transitional Justice: Addressing Gender-Based Violence and Ensuring Women’s Participation was implemented by the International Center for Transitional Justice from November 2012 to October 2015, and received a three-year grant from the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation found that this complex project in six countries achieved some results despite of a range of implementation challenges.

The project Integrated Response to Gender-Based Violence against Women in Serbia was implemented by the UN Country Team in Serbia from November 2012 to October 2015 and received a three-year grant from the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation found that the project had contributed significantly to the building of an integrated response of the UN Country Team, the Serbian Government and development partners to violence against women by improving capacities of key stakeholders to implement measures to address the violence.

Promoting Gender Equality and Improving Access to Justice for Female Survivors and Victims of Gender‐Based Violence under the Khmer Rouge Regime was implemented by the Victims Support Section of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia from October 2011 to November 2014, and received a three-year grant from the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation found that the project significantly contributed to ensuring women’s access to their transitional justice rights and raised awareness about gender-based violence.

The project Towards a Comprehensive System to End Violence against Women in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina was implemented by the Provincial Secretariat for Labour, Employment and Gender Equality from January 2009 to December 2012, with three-year grant support from the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation recognized the positive impact of the project on women beneficiaries and on national policy and the legislative framework.

The Community-Based Sexual Assault and Prevention Programme, implemented by Social Services of Cambodia (SSC), was funded from January 2009 until December 2011 by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The final evaluation concluded that the SSC’s community-based approach to sexual assault provides an effective model of service delivery that reflects the needs and preferences of clients and should set the standard of care for the sector.
