Alice accessed justice by taking her attacker to court, with the support of Leonard Cheshire Disability Zimbabwe, a UN Trust Fund-funded project which provides specialist services to girls and women with disabilities.

NGO ATINA, a UN Trust Fund grantee, is working to support refugee women and girl survivors of trafficking in Serbia. By providing training through craft workshops and developing business skills through a local bagel shop, ATINA supports survivors of trafficking to reintegrate into society and reach economic independence. The reintegration efforts complement other services ATINA provides, such as psychosocial support, legal aid and safe houses.

The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women is supporting a project run by MDRI-S, a not-for-profit organization that advocates for the rights of women with mental disabilities, with a small grant. MDRI-S is the first organization in Serbia bringing the lives and narratives of women with mental disabilities living in custodial institutions to the attention of the public.
